Corporations Division
The Secretary of State is responsible for the initial creation and certain maintenance filings for all 300,000 domestic Missouri and out-of-state business entities doing business in Missouri.
These business entities include for-profit and nonprofit corporations, specialized business entities such as professional corporations, close corporations, agricultural cooperatives and mutual associations, and limited liability companies, limited partnerships and many others.
The Corporations Division provides the forms and resources necessary for businesses and entrepreneurs to form their entity and maintain good standing status.
