August 10, 2009: The Senate will convene at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10 for a pro forma session only. Following the pro forma session, the Senate will adjourn under the provisions of H. Con. Res. 172, the adjournment resolution, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8. On Tuesday, September 8, the Senate will convene at 2:00 p.m. and will be in a period of morning business until 4:30 p.m. with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each. Following morning business, the Senate will resume consideration of S. 1023, the Travel Promotion Act.
