MISSION

The Facilities and Property Management Division (MPS7) plans, sustains, and provides, in a cost-effective and environmentally sound manner, the facility and space assess and services necessary to support the DISA world-wide mission.  The facilities services include the maintenance, utilities, custodial services, repairs and oversight policy and procedures for productive use of space.  MPS7 provides management, policy and oversight of on all DISA property, plant and equipment matters.  The division formulates the Agency property business policy, program integration, standardization, and business improvements.  The Division also provides essential operations functions such as relocation and transport of personnel, property and materials within the DISA facilities, configuration of conference and meeting space, and management and distribution of special materials.

FUNCTIONS

Real Property Management Branch:
  • The overall branch objective is to provide a modern, efficient and high quality work environment for DISA’s diverse workforce and to consolidate DISA’s dispersed sites in realizing cost and operational efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the Space and Furniture Standards and Review; Space Planning, Utilization and Administration; Space Acquisition and Assignment; Space Re-utilization, Space Layout and Design; Facility Assessments; Site Visits; Master Planning and Relocation Planning.
Facilities Engineering & Installation Services Branch:
  • Responsible for the DISA National Capital Region (NCR) Real Property Operations, Maintenance and Repair (O,M&R) functions including centralized Work Reception and Management.
  • Provides technical and policy guidance for Real Property O,M&R for DISA worldwide.
  • Provides Facility Engineering Services (Design, Construction and Project Management) and responsible for the NCR Host/Tenant Support Management for facility-related requirements; Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM); and the Agency Environmental and Energy Program Management.
Property Management Branch:
  • Executes property functions to support the short term and long-range DISA mission requirements.
  • Provides logistics management and oversight at the agency level, with a primary focus on DISA Headquarters and the National Capital Region (NCR).
  • Performs warehouse functions, including simultaneous receiving and shipping operations at multiple sites; transportation of property and supplies; office moves and relocations; ceremonial and conference room setups.
