- Office of Justice Programs' National Institute of Justice—The National Institute of Justice is the research, development, and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice and is dedicated to researching crime control and justice issues. NIJ provides objective, independent, evidence-based knowledge and tools to meet the challenges of crime and justice, particularly at the State and local levels.
- National Criminal Justice Reference Service—NCJRS is a Federally funded resource offering justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide. NCJRS' Federal sponsors include many of the Initiative Partners. On the NCJRS Web site, you can find collected information on DNA, forensics, prosecution, courts, law enforcement, and hundreds of other topics.
- Short Tandem Repeat DNA Internet Database (STRBase)—This Web site is an attempt to bring together the abundant literature on the subject in a cohesive fashion to make future work in this field easier. STRBase is managed by the Human Identity Project team, which is part of the DNA Measurements Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, U.S. Department of Commerce.

- Armed Forces Institute of Pathology —AFIP provides worldwide scientific consultation, research, and education services in the field of forensic DNA analysis to the Department of Defense (DoD) and other agencies. AFIP also provides DNA reference specimen collection, accession, and storage of United States military and other authorized personnel.
