Welcome to the new GPCRDB

You are looking at a new release of the GPCRDB. The previous release of the GPCRDB is still available at http//www.gpcr.org/7tm_old.

For this new release we updated the GPCR family profiles, used the latest UniProtKB release, rewrote everything from scratch and created a new webinterface. In the near future, all the data that is accessible via this website will also made available though webservices, so that you can query the GPCRDB from within your own code or with workflow tools like Taverna.

Since this new release is still much under development, we would appreciate your feedback. Inform us about what you think is missing or could be done better. Please mail us at gpcrdb@cmbi.ru.nl!

The informal collaboration of GPCR databases

These include GPCRDB at the CMBI, the Netherlands (formerly at the EMBL), tinyGRAP Mutant Database at the CMBI (formerly at Tromso, Norway), The Olfactory Database (ORDB) at Yale, Frank Kolakowski's GCRDb (no longer accessible) and Swiss-Prot. We collaborate with Swiss Model and Viseur / Rbde.

Primary and secondary data:

For each protein there are a number of different data types available. They include mutation data (in various formats), ligand binding data, sequence annotations and cross-references to other databases. This data is accessible by navigating to your protein of interest.
