The newly introduced Benny™ Cards for state employees are due to be mailed out the week of January 18, (although some employees may receive cards earlier). The Benny™ Card is a debit card that allows you to pay for eligible products and services from the available balance in your Medical Dental Expense Account(MDEA), or the $250 Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
If you elected MDEA or were eligible to receive the HRA, your funds were available January 1, 2009. The Benny™ Card is just one way for you to access these accounts. You can submit written requests for reimbursement of eligible expenses (via mail, fax or on-line) if you happen to make a qualified purchase prior to getting your Benny™ Card in the mail.
