Great event! MT @camilla_sdo: Indianapolis - On Oct 20 there's a free "Exploring the Sun" event at the Link Observatory http://owl.li/eucaO
@notts_watch Although that would be cool if we had 100% chance of X-class flares, there was only a 20% chance of M-class flares on Oct. 10.
What exactly is an M-class or X-class solar flare? Learn how we classify #flares here: http://ow.ly/eqv9k via http://spaceweather.com
@agents_of_info Thank you for the #FF. Enjoy your Friday!
This dynamic action region popped off 12 #flares between Oct. 8-10! Watch it here: http://ow.ly/eqtYW
You can see the Sun lit up with active regions today. Will we see some solar #flares? http://ow.ly/i/10U8A
There's now a 40% chance of M-class solar #flares! Several sunspots are rotating from the far side of the Sun to the Earth-facing side.
Here's a recent image of the two active regions (bright areas) where we may see M-class flares today: http://ow.ly/i/10FeQ
