| The Data Collection Vehicle (DCV) is used to collect
pavement performance data for IDOT. Digital video
images, International Roughness Index, and Rut Depths
are collected on the entire highway network on a
biennial basis. These are used by various bureaus and
offices in IDOT to make programming decisions for
rehabilitation/reconstruction and to monitor ride
quality of various projects.
