DCBS is committed to serving you through our mission – to protect and serve Oregon's consumers and workers while supporting a positive business climate in the state. To monitor our progress toward accomplishing this mission, we track and report various performance measures. These performance measures cover a variety of areas, such as the rate of workplace injuries and illnesses, the soundness of financial institutions, the rate of affirmations upon appeal for Workers’ Compensation Board decisions, and the quality of our customer service. We constantly evaluate our performance in these and other areas to ensure that we are achieving our mission and to identify areas for improvement.
Though we track thousands of performance measures, 15 have been identified as "Key Measures." These 15 Key Measures reflect our performance in the areas that are most vital to accomplishing our mission. Each Key Measure has a carefully selected target (or goal) that identifies the level of performance we hope to achieve – and exceed.
Every year we prepare a report summarizing our progress toward meeting our Key Measures goals. We present this Annual Key Measures Report to the legislature and make it available to you.
To continue to improve our performance measures and the ways that they are reported, we are asking for your feedback. We want both our performance measures and Annual Report to be easy for you to locate, use, and interpret.
