Asia After Dark invites you and your friends to indulge your senses in Asia and embark on a post-work adventure to get the weekend started in style. Enjoy live performances, gallery tours, food tastings by local chefs, contemporary Asian film and video works, and art activities. Sip specialty cocktails and mix and mingle to eclectic grooves from emerging DJ artists.
Asia After Dark is a ticketed event held three times a year in the summer, fall, and spring.

ID check, bag check, ticket sales, and will-call table are located at the north entrance (National Mall side) of the Freer Gallery of Art, located at Jefferson Dr. and 12th Street, SW. The handicap entrance is at the south side of the museum on Independence Avenue. Maps and directions
You can order up to five tickets at a time online. Tickets purchased in advance will be available at the will-call table from 6:15 to 10 pm. All tickets in each order will be distributed together. Any member of your party can pick up the tickets by showing the emailed receipt with the transaction number. The person whose name is on the order can pick up tickets with either the receipt or a photo ID.
All ticket sales are final. No admittance after 10 pm.
Things to Know
- No food or drink allowed in the galleries.
- You must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID to attend this event
- All bags will be searched by security and IDs will be checked before entrance.
- Personal items can be checked in the designated coat rooms at your own discretion. The museum is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- The closest metro is the Smithsonian station.
- The bar and raffle is cash only.
- A Chevy Chase Bank ATM is available inside the Smithsonian station, Independence Avenue entrance only.
