Right-click on a banner and choose "Adblock" from the context menu - the banner won't be downloaded again. Maybe even replace parts of the banner address with star symbols to block similar banners as well. Or you select a filter subscription when Adblock Plus starts up the first time, then even this simple task will usually be unnecessary: the filter subscription will block most advertisements fully automatically.

Memory leakage in v.1.1.1
Somebody says "Must Have". I say "Avoid"!
The current version leaks memory. Disable all add-ons except "Memory leak". No leakage. Enable "AdBlock Plus" and firefox starts leaking. After some time look at how much memory is allocated by firefox. It can easily be 500-800MB! With AdBlockPlus disabled, the memory stays within 150-200MB limit

a must-have add-on !!!
also- remember to go to Option and select (manually...) Update subscription.
maybe a timed script will be added in the future.
