Joyce Hill Stoner, paintings conservator and director of the University of Delaware Preservation Studies Doctoral Program, is an expert in the history of conservation in the twentieth century. She has a particular interest in collaborations between artists and conservators. Explore rarely seen works from the American Art Museum’s collection of exceptional watercolors, pastels, and drawings from the 1920s to 1960s with Joann Moser, senior curator for graphic arts. This exhibition highlights works on paper by extraordinary artists such as Stuart Davis, Edward Hopper, Willem de Kooning, Joseph Stella, Grant Wood, and Andrew Wyeth.

Organic and sinuous, art nouveau is a style of modern art and design that developed out of the Arts and Crafts and aesthetic movements. In four sessions, Bonita Billman, art history instructor at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, explores the origins, characteristics, historical influences, and the chief proponents of this style.
