Message from Commissioner Tom Hanson

Welcome to the State of Minnesota’s official website for coordination and implementation of the America Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Our goal is to provide you with a site that makes the federal stimulus process as transparent and understandable as possible. We’ll be adding to and improving this material regularly in the coming months.

The state is committed to maximizing the economic benefits of the federal stimulus package by quickly identifying and investing in quality projects. Minnesota has been one of the first states to obligate 50% its road construction funds, access Unemployment Insurance funds, and get a plan approved for accessing State Fiscal Stabilization Funding for education. We’re committed to maximizing the impact of the ARRA funding for the state.

This is the best place to discover a stimulus funded program that may help you. For details of some of the early projects, see road projects or municipal clean water projects.

Coming in October, the federal government will present details of ARRA activity on their web site, www.recovery.gov. State agencies are preparing reports needed by this site and will present additional information on their own web sites. In the meantime, we will continue to provide you via this site with the most accurate and timely information available.
