Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)
The ATF is a law enforcement agency within the U.S. Department of Justice. Its unique responsibilities include protecting the public and reducing violent crime.

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
The DEA is an agency within the U.S. Department of Justice.  Their mission is to enforce the controlled substances laws and regulations of the United States.

Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (FBCI): At-Risk Youth and Gang Prevention
Another agency within the U.S. Department of Justice, which provides resources regarding faith-based and other efforts to prevent and neutralize juvenile delinquency, especially gang-related crime.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
The FBI serves as the chief investigative unit for the U.S. Department of Justice in Federal criminal cases.  Included on the FBI Web site is a Violent Gangs page providing information and links to publications and related resources.

High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Program
The HIDTA Program enhances and coordinates drug control efforts among local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies. The program provides agencies with coordination, equipment, technology, and additional resources to combat drug trafficking and its harmful consequences in critical regions of the United States.

National Gang Center (NGC)
The NGC is a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). This Web site features the latest information about anti-gang programs and links to a wide range of resources.

National Gang Intelligence Center
Under the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Gang Intelligence Center (NGIC) is a multi-agency effort that integrates the gang intelligence assets of federal, state, and local law enforcement entities to serve as a centralized intelligence resource for gang information and analytical support.

National Gang Targeting, Enforcement & Coordination Center (GangTECC)
The National Gang Targeting, Enforcement & Coordination Center (GangTECC), within the U.S. Department of Justice, began operations in summer 2006. GangTECC is a multi-agency center designed to serve as a critical catalyst in a unified federal effort to help disrupt and dismantle the most significant and violent gangs in the United States.

National Institute of Corrections (NIC)
NIC is an agency within the U.S. Department of Justice that provides training, technical assistance, information services, and policy/program development assistance to Federal, State, and local corrections agencies. NIC also has resources for various issues pertaining to correctional populations, including prison gangs.

National Institute of Justice (NIJ)
NIJ is the research, development, and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice and is dedicated to researching crime control and justice issues.  Included on the NIJ Web site is a Youths, Gangs and Guns section that provides information and links to publications and related resources.

National Youth Gang Center (NYGC)
The purpose of the NYGC, which is operated by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), is to assist policymakers, practitioners, and researchers in their efforts to reduce youth gang involvement and crime by contributing information, resources, practical tools, and expertise towards the development and implementation of effective gang prevention, intervention, and suppression strategies.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) 
OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization. OJJDP supports states and communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and to improve the juvenile justice system so that it protects public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families.

Organized Crime and Racketeering Section
The Organized Crime and Racketeering Section of the U.S. Department of Justice coordinates the department's program to combat organized crime.

Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN)
PSN is a nationwide commitment to reduce gun crime in the United States by networking existing local programs that target gun crime and providing those programs with additional tools needed for success.

U.S. Department of Justice Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section
The Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section's mission is to reduce the supply of illegal drugs in the United States by investigating and prosecuting priority domestic and international drug trafficking groups and by providing sound legal, strategic, and policy guidance in support of that end.

U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
ICE is responsible for identifying and shutting down vulnerabilities in the nation's border, economic, transportation and infrastructure security.

East Coast Gang Investigators Association (ECGIA)
The ECGIA is a non-profit organization that continually strives to provide law enforcement officials with the training and resources they need to stay at the forefront of the ever changing street gang trends and identifiers.

Florida Department of Corrections: Major Prison Gangs
Provides information about the six major prison gangs that are recognized nationally for their participation in organized crime and violence.

This Web site provides law enforcement and corrections personnel, parents, teachers, and concerned citizens the help and knowledge to determine if street or prison gangs are in their community or corrections facility.

International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)
Produces model policies on some of the most difficult issues facing law enforcement administrators, including crime prevention.

International Latino Gang Investigator's Association (ILGIA)
The ILGIA is committed to providing valuable and current information, and establishing a network between its members, fellow associations, and criminal justice agencies.

National Alliance of Gang Investigators Association (NAGIA)
The NAGIA is a cooperative organization of representatives from 16 regional gang investigators' associations representing more than 15,000 investigators across the country, as well as Federal agencies and other organizations involved in gang-related matters.

National Gang Crime Research Center
The National Gang Crime Research Center is a nonprofit independent agency that carries out research on gangs and gang members, disseminates information through publications and reports, and provides training and consulting services.

National Major Gang Task Force
The National Major Gang Task Force is committed to providing leadership and information within the criminal justice system and other stakeholders to minimize the effects of security threat groups, gangs and terrorists in jails, prisons and communities.

National Sheriffs Association (NSA)
The National Sheriffs Association (NSA) serves as the center of a vast network of information, filling requests for information daily and enabling criminal justice professionals to locate the information and programs they need.

Texas Gang Investigators Association (TGIA)
The Texas Gang Investigators Association (TGIA) was founded by a small group of officers charged with the investigation of street gangs and their criminal activities. Today, membership in TGIA numbers more than 1,900 members from across the State. TGIA provides training opportunities for its members through regional meetings, quarterly newsletters, and its annual training conference.
