All premises where body piercing technicians perform services must be licensed as a facility and meet the criteria for facility licensure. Body piercing facilities are subject to an annual inspection to ensure public protection and compliance with statutes and rules. Facilities include body piercing/tattoo shops, jewelry shops, mall kiosks, department stores, and barber and beauty shops.
