Description: |
Oregon Revised Statute provides for the voluntary registration of PreK-12 private schools with the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). As part of the registration process, the owner/director certifies that Private School Standards established by Administrative Rules i.e., teacher preparation, instructional time, fire and safety requirements, are met by the school. A major benefit of registration is that teaching experience in a registered private school applies to meeting the requirements of renewal of individual teacher certification through Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC).
