Description: Required to transport live fish into, within or out of this state; hold any live fish in the waters of this state; or release or attempt to release any live fish into the waters of this state. Does not apply to aquaria species intended for aquaria use; shellfish taken for personal use; activities authorized under a Salmon Steelhead Enhancement Program (STEP) permit; federally licensed projects which have been approved by the Department; or activities authorized under a Scientific Collection Permit issued by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW).

Required Documentation: Requests for permits to ship live eggs or fish into Oregon must be accompanied by a report, certified by a pathologist acceptable to ODFW, showing results of a current disease inspection.
