Description: Miscellaneous occupations are those that do not fit into either the construction or industrial trades. These occupations usually have limited apprenticeship opportunities.

Apprenticeships include: Corrections Officers, Fare Equipment Technicians, Film & Video Technicians, Forest Worker Trainees, Gas Utilities Servicers, Law Enforcement Officers, Overhead Technicians, Police Officers, Rail Technicians, Signal Technicians, Law Enforcement Telecommunicators, Traction/Substation Technicians, Water Service Mechanics, and Water Service Utility Workers.

Duration: one - six years depending on occupation
Fees - application, exam, etc.:  Most apprenticeship programs do not charge an application fee although a few charge a modest fee of up to $25. Apprentices are expected to pay tuition and for books, normally about $400 to $500 per year, although in many cases, these costs are paid by the employer or reimbursed to the apprentice by the apprenticeship committee.
