Owner/operators planning to construct or modify an indirect source of air pollution must obtain an Indirect Source Permit if:- Within Portland's Central Business District, the facility will provide 800 or more parking spaces, or
- Within Portland, Salem, or Medford carbon monoxide nonattainment or maintenance areas, the facility will provide 1000 or more parking spaces.
"Indirect Source" means a facility, building, structure, or installation, or any portion or combination thereof, which indirectly causes or may cause Mobile Source activity that results in emissions of an air contaminant for which there is a National Ambient Air Quality Standard. "Mobile Source" means self-propelled vehicles, powered by internal combustion engines including, but not limited to, automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, and aircraft. |
