Description: |
A recorded cattle, horse or sheep brand is prima facie proof of ownership. It also provides a "return address" for a missing or stray animal. Oregon does not mandate branding. However, if a livestock owner chooses to brand, the brand must be registered with the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
