Description: This contractor may specialize in two or fewer unrelated building trades or crafts for any size residential or small commercial contract. If they do three or more unrelated building trades, the contract must be for $2,500 or less on any one residential or small commercial property.

Fees - application, exam, etc.:  $260 for 2 years (Non-refundable)

Fee Exemptions: None
Examination Information: The test fee is $85 each time it is taken; the passing score is 70%. There are 80 multiple-choice questions. It is an open-book test. See Education Requirements for more information.

Continuing Ed Requirements: N/A
Bonding Requirements: $15,000 Residential bond
Insurance Requirements: $300,000 liability insurance
Prerequisites: Responsible Managing Individual (RMI) must take a 16-hour training on Business Practices and Law from an approved CCB provider. Approved Training Providers

Additionally the (RMI)must pass an exam.

Renewals: A completed renewal application, fee, Residential bond, and Certificate of Insurance are required before renewal can be processed.

It is recommended that forms and fee be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of license expiration.
