Examination Information: No Examination Required.
Continuing Ed Requirements: As per Oregon Adminstrative Rule 918-098-1630 post- earthquake inspectors must fulfill the following continuing education requirements every three years:
  • Completion of a division-approved Applied Technology Council (ATC) training course; or
  • Participation in at least one emergency exercise drill, or actual emergency event.
      The division my periodically verify compliance with these continuing education requirements

Insurance Requirements: None
Prerequisites: Complete an Applied Technology Council (ATC) training course approved by the division within three years of application,
and one of the following:
  1. Be registered in any state as an architect, or be qualified by training and experience to take the Oregon examination for registration as an architect,or
  2. Be certified in the state of oregon as an:
    • A-level, B-level structural inspector, or
    • Fire and life safety plans examiner or inspector, or
    • Be qualified to take the Oregon A-level, B-level commerical or fire and life safety plans examiner or inspector certification examination,or
  3. Possess a current ICC Commercial Building Inspector, Commercial Building Plans Examiner or Commerical fire Plans Examiner certificate, or
  4. Be registered in any state as a professional engineer in civil or structural engineering, or be qualified by education and experience to take the Oregon professional engineer examination in civil or structural engineering, even though the applicant has not taken the fundamentals of engineering examination.
