After completing a hearing aid specialist training program as outlined in OAR 333-025-0008, applicants for licensure may obtain a one-year temporary license prior to taking the written and practical examination for full licensure. Temporary license holders may practice but only under the supervision of a licensed hearing aid specialist.

Prerequisites: |
1. 18 or older 2. Educational equivalent to four-year standard high school 3. A hearing aid specialist training program must include at least 62 hours of theory and 98 hours of practical experience which includes at least 30 completed procedures covering all of the requirements for audiometric testing; earmold impressions; hearing aid selection, fitting and follow up care; and sanitation and cleanliness. |
