Description: The falconry license authorizes the holder to possess and train raptors as a method of hunting.

OAR 635-055
Duration: 3 years, July 1 issue year to June 30 of 3rd year.
Fees - application, exam, etc.:  $50.00
Responsible Agency: Fish and Wildlife, Department of
Examination Information: In order to be licensed, you must score 80% or more. The exam tests your knowledge of raptor identification, natural history, care in captivity, falconry technique, and applicable laws and regulations. If you score below 80%, you may take the test again in three months.

Prerequisites: Before you may be licensed, the facilities and equipment that are required by the falconry rules will have to be inspected and approved by an ODFW biologist or appointed agent. A $10 fee must be submitted with a Falconry Facilities Inspection Request form. You must contact an ODFW biologist to schedule a facilities inspection.
