Description: Large and Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generators are subject to time limits for the storage of their waste. An extension of up to 30 days may be granted by the Department of Environmental Quality on a case by case basis. For further information refer to Title 40 CFR Part 262.34(b&f) for this requirement.

Required Documentation: Hazardous waste generator must request extension by letter to the Department prior to exceeding waste storage time limit. Request must state reason why the extension is needed and when waste will be shipped off-site for treatment or disposal.
