Description: This license is required for commercially used LPG vapor meters that have a 1 inch pipe diameter or under. Commercial use is any application or use in connection with or related to transactions in which, in exchange for commodities received or services rendered, consideration is given in terms of currency, negotiable instruments, credit, merchandise or any other thing of value.

Duration: 1 year (July 1-June 30)
Fees - application, exam, etc.:  $15.00 per measuring device, per license year.
The license year runs July 1-June 30.
License fees are not prorated.

Examination Information:
  • LPG vapor meters must be delivered to the Measurement Standards Division for testing and certification examination prior to being placed into commercial service.
  • LPG vapor meters already in commercial service as of July 1, 2002, must be delivered to the Measurement Standards Division for testing and certification examination at a minimum rate of 10 percent per year, until all devices have been tested and certified.
  • Transportation and all associated transportation costs of delivering LPG Vapor meters to and from the Measurement Standards Division is the responsibility of the person using the devices.

Prerequisites:
  1. Complete application.
  2. Pay fees.
  3. Arrange for delivery of LPG vapor-measuring device to the Measurement Standards Division for testing and certification examination.

Renewals: Scale and meter licenses expire annually on June 30. Renewal applications are mailed prior to expiration and must be returned with payment to remain current.
