The Department of Corrections has a lease agreement with the federal government that requires unique operating procedures at MSCF. Thus, there are no programs involving work release, furloughs or community activities. All inmates are assigned to work details and have the opportunity to participate in various programs developed within the guidelines of the lease agreement.
