Description: A state hydroelectric water right may be reauthorized for a period of 20-50 years. The process for reauthorizing hydroelectric water rights and projects is set forth in Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) Chapter 543A. The application is reviewed by the Hydroelectric Application Review Team (HART), which includes the Oregon Water Resources Department, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, and any other state agency that has regulatory or advisory responsibility for the state project or a resource or hazard affected by the state project.
