| Description: |
Veterinary Technicians assist veterinarians in the treatment of animals, usually in animal hospitals and clinics. The skills may be learned in a two-year community college program. Veterinary Technicians are awarded a certification upon meeting the requirements for licensure. |

| Examination Information: |
- Exam Time: Second Friday in June (deadline: April 1st), and second Friday in January (deadline: November 1st).
- Exam Locs: Portland.
- Exam Pass: Raw Criterion Score 425.
- Exam Repeat: Upon application to the Examining Board. Exam may be taken out-of-state and score transferred to Oregon.

1. Be a graduate of a two year accredited program in Veterinary Technology, OR Have four years on-the-job training as a veterinary assistant.
