Community water systems that serve 300 or more service connections require a certified Cross Connection Specialist to administer their cross connection control program. This certification was previously known as the Cross Connection Inspector Certification.
"Cross Connection" means any actual or potential unprotected connection or structural arrangement between the public or user's potable water system and any other source or system through which it is possible to introduce into any part of the potable system any used water, industrial fluid, gas, or substances other than the intended potable water with which the system is supplied.

Fees - application, exam, etc.: |
$70. Initial certification fees shall be prorated to the nearest year for the remainder of the two year certification period. |

Examination Information: |
Applicants must attend and successfully complete a Department-approved Cross Connection Specialist training course within 12 months prior to the Division's receipt of the applicant's completed application. A minimum score of 85% is required to pass the written examiniation. |

Renewals: |
