Description: |
A telecommunicator is any person employed as an emergency telephone worker or a public safety dispatcher whose primary duties are receiving, processing and transmitting public safety information received through a 9-1-1 emergency report system. |

1. Employed by a dispatch center. 2. Pass exam meeting 12th grade reading and writing levels.3. Submit fingerprints.4. No criminal convictions.5. Attend and pass basic telecommunicator course accredited by DPSST.6. Current first aid/CPR.7. Complete Field Training Manual.8. Complete Code of Ethics.9. Employed as telecommunicator for 9 months. |
