Prerequisites: 1. Employed by a dispatch center or private ambulance company.2. Pass exam meeting 12 grade reading and writing levels.3. Submit fingerprints.4. No criminal convictions.5. Attend and pass basic emergency medical dispatcher course accredited by DPSST.6. Current in first aid/CPR.7. Field Training Manual.8. Complete Code of Ethics.9. Employed as emergency medical dispatcher for 9 months.
