- Exam Time: Second week of December and April. Deadline: 60-65 days prior to exam (National Board Exam and Clinical Competency Test).
- Exam Locs: Portland.
- Exam Pass: Raw Criterion Score 425.
- Exam Repeat: Exam may be taken in another state and score transferred to Oregon.

| Prerequisites: |
- Be a graduate of a veterinary college or a veterinary department of a university or college accredited by American Veterinarian Medical Association.
- Complete at least one year in active practice in another state or have served at least a one-year internship under supervision of an Oregon licensed veterinarian.
- Satisfactorily pass the National Board Exam, the Clinical Competency Test, and the State Jurisprudence Exam (open-book, by mail).
