| Description: |
Professional Counselors assist individuals or groups through a counseling relationship. Their goal is to develop an understanding of personal problems, define goals, and plan actions according to interests, abilities, aptitudes, and needs as they relate to personal-social concerns, educational progress, and occupations or careers. Licensed Professional Counselors may also consult with individuals, groups, or organizations, make referrals to other specialists, and conduct research.

Licensees shall complete 40 clock hours of approved continuing education every two license years, birth month through birth month, as a condition of renewal in even-numbered years. |

1. Master's Degree in counseling.
2. 2,400 supervised direct client contact hours of counseling.
