Prerequisites: |
- Applicant business must be at least 51% owned by one or more qualifying individuals (socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who are citizens of the United States or lawfully admitted permanent residents).
- Average annual gross receipts for the previous three fiscal years for the applicant business must not exceed the size limits as defined by the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS).
- The applicant business must not be inextricably associated nor dependent upon a non-disadvantaged firm or individual.
- The qualifying individual: must have day-to-day managerial and operational control over all aspects of the business including technical competence and experience directly related to the firm's operations; must have made a real and substantial contribution of capital or expertise for their individual ownership interest in the business; and personal net worth must not exceed $750,000.
