Chiropractors adjust the spinal column and other articulations of the body to diagnose, treat and prevent disease and abnormalities of the human body caused by interference with the nervous system. They examine patients to determine the nature and extent of the disorder, using X ray machines, electrocardiographs, otoscopes, proctoscopes, and other instruments and equipment. They manipulate the spine or other involved area. Chiropractors may use supplementary measures, such as exercise, electrical stimulation, rest, water, light, heat, nutritional therapy, and minor surgery. |

Examination Information: |
- Exam offered quarterly.
- Exam Locs: Salem.
- Exam Pass: The Board determines passing scores. Passing scores may change between sections and between examinations.
- Exam Repeat: An applicant must take at least one of the failed section(s) within 13 months following the date of the original examination.

Prerequisites: |
- Complete an official application including a recent picture and Social Security number.
- Provide evidence of applicant's good moral character on the letterhead stationery of a Doctor of Chiropractic.
- Provide transcripts of grades from all colleges attended showing successful completion of at least two years of liberal arts and sciences study in an approved college.
- Provide diploma and transcript certified by the registrar from an approved Chiropractic college which requires for graduation a period of actual attendance of four years of at least nine months, or its equivalent as determined by the Board, each with a schedule of minimum educational requirements enumerated in ORS 684.050 (4). A transcript of grades is necessary from each Chiropractic college attended.
- Provide an official transcript of passing grades from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Parts I, II, III, IV and Physiotherapy.

A duplicate license (registration) may be issued if the original is damaged or lost. Additionally, if a chiropractic physician practices in more than one location, he/she may request a duplicate.
Required Documents Submit a written request for duplicate license with $5 payment. |
