Microwave Oven Repair Facilities are required to register with Radiation Protection Services every two years and pay a biennial registration fee of $87.00 per facility registration. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure microwave oven facilities properly repair and test microwave ovens prior to returning units to customers for home or public use to prevent microwave radiation leakage and personnel exposure. |

Examination Information: |
Microwave Oven Repair facilities shall ensure that each technician who services microwave ovens in his or her employ is instructed in the test procedures, compliance criteria and all requirements of Division 112 of the Rules for the Control of Radiation. |
