Non-Resident fees are based on the fee that an Oregon resident would be required to pay to provide the same service in your state of residence. Alaska $370 (Hunting) $750 (Fishing) $500 (Trips other than fishing, using a boat or not. No fishing tackle is allowed on the trip.) A $5,000 Surety Bond or letter of credit is required for any Outfitter/Guide who accepts deposits in excess of $100.00 per person. |
Insurance Requirements: |
$300,000 of general liability. |
Prerequisites: |
1. Must complete an application for Outfitter/Guide registration. 2. Must complete an affidavit. 3. Show original proof of a First Aid course that includes CPR. 4. Submit the applicable registration fee. (Non-refundable) 5. Have an original $5,000 Surety Bond or letter of credit if accepting deposits in excess of $100 per person. 6. Have the insurance provider send a full year certificate of insurance that is at least a minimum of $300,000 general liability insurance. The name on the certificate must match the application, be a full year certificate, list the Oregon State Marine Board as a certificate holder, provide 30 days notice on all cancellations and specifically state what type of guiding and any motorized boats. 7. Provide either the original or a notarized copy of a valid United States Coast Guard License for any Outfitter/Guide that is applying to use a motorized boat on any federally navigable waterway in Oregon. This Coast Guard license must be valid for the area the Outfitter/Guide is applying to use a motorized boat for hire. |
