Description: This license is required to operate a slaughterhouse.

Slaughterhouse means an establishment wherein meat animals are slaughtered.

Fees - application, exam, etc.:  Food Safety Division license fee structure
License fees are not prorated.
License is not transferable to new locations or owners.
Responsible Agency: Agriculture Department
Bonding Requirements: If weekly dollar value of meat animal purchases exceeds $10,000, submit with the application a surety bond with one or more corporate sureties, or an irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution (See ORS 603.027(3))
