Description: A license issued to an individual who operates Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) delivery equipment installed on a motorized vehicle.
To obtain an LPG Truck Equipment Operator License, an individual must first apply to take the LPG Truck Equipment Operator License examination. Upon passing the examination, the individual submits an Application for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Truck Equipment Operator License, along with the license fee.

Examination Information: To schedule examinations, an Application to Take Liquefied Petroleum Gas On-Line Examination form must be completed and forwarded to the Office of State Fire Marshal. Enclose a check or money order for $40. An email with test instructions will be sent to the applicant.

Examination covers National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 54 National Fuel Gas Code, (2002 or 2006 Edition) and NFPA 58 Standard for the Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases, (2004 or 2008 Edition), as well as Oregon Revised Statutes and Oregon Administrative Rules. Applicants are responsible for obtaining NFPA 54 and NFPA 58.

Insurance Requirements: No state requirements.
Prerequisites: Individual must complete Truck Equipment Operator examination and pass with a score of 80 percent or greater.
Must work for a company that holds a Company License.

Renewals: Renewal notices are sent out approximately 3 months prior to expiration date of original license. 
Duplicate: Duplicates must be requested in writing.
