The Anchorage Museum will open its new wing with an outrageous traveling exhibit called Gold that will dazzle summer visitors with more than 300 gold objects. The exhibit includes a gold-plated room, doubloons from sunken Spanish galleons, a scale that reveals visitors’ weight in gold and more…

On Saturday, May 30, 2009, the Anchorage Museum will reopen with a bang to kick off more than a year’s worth of expansion related changes. Museum admission will be free all day, thanks to the generous support of Wells Fargo Bank.
