The North Dakota Department of Health has a variety of information available to assist residents with flood cleanup. Important information is available to help you properly dispose of waste and sandbags, safely deal with mold problems and clean up fuel oil spills in your basement. Information also is available about safe drinking water, tetanus shots, carbon monoxide poisoning and general information to help keep you and your family safe during and after a flood. State residents affected by flooding can contact the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency for details on temporary rental housing available statewide. The agency can also provide information on government and nonprofit supported programs that can be used to pay for repairs to or replacement of damaged housing.

Job Service North Dakota
Job Service North Dakota (JSND) is offering Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) at this time for workers and self-employed individuals affected by severe storms and flooding across the state. Local JSND Customer Service Offices can also identify other community resources that might be available. The online SHARE Network (www.sharenetworknd.org) helps people locate hundreds of community services by location. Available SHARE Network services may include counseling, services for people with disabilities, food and nutrition services, or other assistance that might be useful during difficult times.
The Customer Service Offices can help individuals who have lost employment search for jobs if they wish. If short term jobs exist in the area, JSND can help connect these job seekers. For more information about these and other JSND services, visit jobsnd.com.
