The goal of the the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 is to create jobs and get people working again.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has been able to work quickly in identifying projects that are ready to begin immediately that will get people working again, and improve the condition of roads and bridges.
The NH Department of Transportation is moving forward with shovel-ready projects that have been identified on the State’s 10-Year Plan, which has previously been approved by the Governor and Council and the legislature. About $15 million of the funds will go to support municipal projects.
