AOAD's Mission is accomplished through the following services: |

Providing disability related resources and information. |
|
Offering trainings and workshops to employees, agencies and the Legislature of the State of Arizona in ADA and related disability laws. |
|
Time and resources permitting, AOAD also provides trainings to municipalities, individuals and public and private sector organizations. |
|
Serving as the Americans with Disabilities 'ADA' Coordinator for the State of Arizona. |
|
Providing an open door for people with disabilities. |
|
Evaluating and reviewing state agencies for compliance with the ADA and disabilities-related state and federal laws. |
|
Furnishing state agencies and the public with available ADA-related printed materials or referrals. |
|
Assisting people with disabilities in understanding their lawful rights, opportunities and responsibilities. |
Vision
The State of Arizona endeavors to assure equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for all individuals with disabilities, whether those disabilities be mobility, sensory, intellectual, mental or environmental.
Mission
Our mission is to guide and serve the State of Arizona in implementing and complying with Federal and State ADA/disabilities and related laws, with particular focus on meeting the diverse needs of the broad spectrum of people with disabilities who live in Arizona.
