WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-47) issued the following statement on yesterday's announcement that the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Government of Mexico are committed to developing a coordinated response to various Southwest border threats, including weapons and ammunition smuggling.  The arrangement, signed yesterday and supported by U.S. President Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderón, will allow security and law enforcement agencies on both sides of the border to work together to stop violence and criminal activity.
