Congressman Ackerman Warns that Iran Sanctions May Not Be Enough

At the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, “Iran: Recent Developments and Implications for U.S. Policy,” Congressman Ackerman warned that the Iranian “thug-ocracy” has no interest in giving up its nuclear ambitions.


Congressman Ackerman calls for maximum insurance coverage to be provided to Madoff victims.

Congressman Ackerman questions SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro on the Securities Investor Protection Corporation’s insurance obligation to Madoff victims and praises the chairman for the accountability she has brought to the SEC.
