Someone snapped a photo with Lt. Col. Lori Strode when she met with Governor Jim Gibbons during the Governor’s trip to Iraq and Afghanistan last month. She was so proud, she sent a copy of the photo to her dad in Las Vegas, along with this brief note; “I will be working for Forces Command (FORSCOM) as Liaison Officer for the Transportation Command (TRANSCOM). Basically, coordinating the transportation of equipment and people in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan.” Lt. Col. Strode will be leaving Iraq in a few days and will be stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Governor Gibbons extends his thanks to Lt. Col. Strode, her dad Ron Strode of Las Vegas, and to all who are serving to protect our freedom.
