Payment Timelines
Senior and Disabled Deferral Accounts:

The Oregon Department of Revenue pays your property taxes to your county by November 15 of each year.

If the department only pays a portion of your taxes, that amount will be paid to the county by November 15. You are responsible for paying the remaining tax amount to your county by November 15 each year.

The reasons for partial payment include:
  • If you own and live in one unit of a multi-family dwelling,
  • You have a business located on your property, or
  • If your income exceeds the federal adjusted gross income limit after the first year of acceptance.
Special Assessment Deferral Accounts:

The Oregon Department of Revenue will make installment payments on each valid special assessment deferral account on February 1 and August 1 each year.

Payments are made to the assessment district that billed you for the improvement, and payment will continue until the assessment is paid in full.
