Deputy Secretary of State Jacob Lew and the Director of Policy Planning Dr. Anne-Marie Slaughter will brief reporters on Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s new initiative to review our strategic approach to diplomacy and development. This briefing will take place on Friday, July 10, at 1:45 p.m. in the Department of State Press Briefing Room (room 2209) and will be on the record and on camera.
Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) A U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver’s license, passport).
