Clean Diesel Service Providers  

 Clean diesel tax credits are available for:

  • Up to 50% of the certified cost of a qualifying Oregon diesel engine retrofit, and
  • Up to 25% of the certified cost of a qualifying Oregon non-road diesel engine repower.

*2009 Limitation Available

  • $2,998,193 as of June 30, 2009 - Clean Diesel Retrofit and Repower
  • $445,690 as of June 30, 2009 - New Truck Engine

*"Limitation" refers to the total amount in tax credits DEQ will collectively award qualified applicants.

Clean Diesel Service Providers

All retrofit and repower projects that apply for clean diesel tax credits must use a Clean Diesel Service Provider. DEQ maintains a list of Recognized Clean Diesel Service Providers.

Verified Technology Guidance

Tax Credit Transfers

Organizations with no Oregon tax liability, such as non-profits, schools, tribes, cities, or other public entities, may apply for and transfer the credit to an Oregon taxpayer. The parties to this transaction submit a Transfer Notice to the Oregon Department of Revenue (DOR) prior to the taxpayer’s tax year end, each and every year the taxpayer claims the credit.
